Kirsti's Poetry
Below are links to various poems I have written over the past 20 years. I started writing poetry as a young child in school. Later, when my mother died, I turned to poetry to vent and sort out my emotions and feelings. I have had a few of my poems published in a local town paper in Springfield, Massachusetts. Over the years I had kept many of my poems guarded because I noticed the raw emotions, many dealing with pain, seemed to make others feel uncomfortable. What is usually not understood is that writing these poems helps me to deal with my feelings, and thus afterwards I feel more at peace with myself. There are many poems, so I will add a few at a time.
